ABSTRACT
Background: Strontium Ranelate And Hyaluronic Acid Are Reported To Enhance Bone Healing. However, Limited Data Are Available In The Literature About Their Effect Following Removal Of Impacted Third Molars.

Purpose: To Assess The Effectiveness Of Strontium Ranelate And Hyaluronic Acid On Bone Healing After Surgical Removal Of Impacted Mandibular Third Molars.

Materials and Methods: The Study Was Conducted On 32 Impacted Mandibular Third Molars And Meet The Inclusion Criteria. Patients Were Randomly Divided Into 4 Equal Groups. After Tooth Extraction, A Mix Consisting Of Strontium Ranelate And Hyaluronic Acid Was Placed Into The Sockets Of The Surgically Removed Impacted Lower Third Molars In Group 1, Two Grams Of SrRan Granules Were Mixed With Saline And Then Packed Into The Sockets Of Group 2. A 0.5ml Hyaluronic Acid Was Applied To The Sockets Of Group 3 And Nothing Was Placed Into The Sockets Of Group 4. Bone Healing Was Evaluated 1 Month And 3 Months Postoperatively. Result: After 1 Month, There Was No Significant Difference Between Any Of The Study Groups Compared To, Control Group Regarding Bone Formation. After 3 Months, Only Group 1 Showed A Statistically Significant Difference When Compared With The Control Group. Conclusion: The Combination Between Strontium Ranelate And Hyaluronic Acid Can Enhance Bone Healing.
