ABSTRACT
Aim Of Study: Evaluation Of The Sealing Ability Of Conventional Gutta- Percha/AH Plus Sealer Compared RealSeal SE And Activ GP Following Irrigation With 17% EDTA, Biopure MTAD And QMix 2in1.

Materials and Methods: One Hundred Single Rooted Maxillary Teeth Were Collected; Total Length Of Each Root Was Standardized Then Sterilized In Autoclave. The Sample Were Divided Into Three Equal Groups (n=30) According To The Final Rinse Used And Each Group Were Subdivided Into Three Equal Subgroups (n=10) According To The Obturating Material Used. Ten Teeth Were Used As The Two Control Groups. The Coronal Portion Of Each Tooth Was Filled With 10 Ul Culture Containing Enterococcus Faecalis And The Apical Portion Immersed In Trypticase Soy Broth. The Whole Apparatus Was Incubated At 37C And Checked After One Week.

Results: The Results Obtained From Bacterial Leakage Test Showed That Samples Obturated With RealSeal SE Showed Significantly Less Bacterial Leakage Than Both Obturated With Activ GP And AH Plus/gutta-percha. Statistically Significant Differences Were Found Between Biopure MTAD Group And Both QMix 2in1 And 17% EDTA Groups. (P < 0.005). Conclusion: RealSeal SE Has Better Sealing Ability Than Both Activ GP And AH Plus/gutta-percha. Biopure MTAD Significantly Enhanced The Sealing Ability Of The Three Obturation Systems Compared To 17% EDTA And QMix 2in 1.
