ABSTRACT
Dental Implant Placement Is A Good Option For Teeth Replacement. The Surgical Placement Of Implant Is Accompanied By Some Pain. Low Level Laser Therapy Is An Additive Tool For Dental Application And Can Offer A Lot Of Advantages In The Field Of Dental Implant. This Work Was Undertaken To Assess Pain After Dental Implant Surgery Combined With Laser Therapy In Comparison To Placebo Control Through Visual Analog Scale (VAS). 20 Bilateral Dental Implants Were Randomly Assigned To Right Or Left Side Lased Groups And The Assessed Outcome Was Postoperative Pain At 6 Hours, 3 Days And 7 Days Postoperatively. The Only Significant Difference Was In VAS At 6 Hours In Favor Of Laser Group. Laser Therapy May Be Of Benefit Regarding Postoperative Pain Associated With Dental Implant Surgery And A Randomized Clinical Trial With Larger Sample Size Is Strongly Recommended To Reach A Solid Evidence Based Conclusion.
