ABSTRACT
Objective: To Evaluate The Microstrain Of Attachment Retained Partial Denture Versus Attachment Retained Partial Overdenture With Single Symphyseal Implant.
Materials and Methods: Strain Gauge Technology Was Used To Compare The Stresses Induced By Two Different Prosthetic Options For Restoring Long Mandibular Class IV Kennedy Classification. Ready Made Epoxy Resin Mandibular Models With Acrylic Teeth Were Used. The Data Were Collected, Tabulated And Statistically Analyzed Using ANOVA And Tukey?s Analysis Tests.
Results: There Was Statistically Significant Difference Between The Two Different Prosthetic Designs (P<0.001).
Conclusions: Mandibular Partial Overdenture Supported With Single Symphyseal Implant Can Be Considered As An Alternative Prosthetic Option For Management Of Long Span Class IV Kennedy Classification.
