ABSTRACT
The Purpose Of This Study Is To Evaluate The Shaping Ability Of The Self-Adjusting File (SAF, ReDent Nova Ltd., Isreal) Size #15, The Primary File Of The WaveOne System (Densply Maillefer International, Inc., Ballaigues, Switzerland) And The F2 File Of The ProTaper Universal System (Densply Maillefer International, Inc., Ballaigues, Switzerland), As Well As Their Ability To Leave The Canal Walls Clean From The Dentin Debris. A Total Of 60 Mesio-buccal Canal Of Lower Mandibular First Molars Were Used In This Study, And CBCT Was Performed For Each Tooth Before Instrumentation, Then They Were Divided Into 3 Groups 20 Tooth Each; Group I, Group II And Group III Were Prepared Using SAF, WaveOne And ProTaper, Respectively. CBCT Was Performed After Instrumentation And Then The Teeth Were Split Longitudinally To Investigate The Canal Walls Under The SEM. The Results Showed That The WaveOne Was Superior To The SAF And The ProTaper In The Shaping Ability, Respectively. The Debris Were Less With WaveOne, Followed By SAF Then ProTaper In The Middle Third, While Were Less With The WaveOne, Followed By ProTaper Then The SAF In The Apical Third.
