ABSTRACT

Objectives: Assessment For Accuracy Of Cone Beam Computed Tomography In Angular Measurement In Maxilla And Mandible In Comparison With Real Linear Measurement. Methods: The Study Was Performed On Fourteen Human Dry Skulls With Mandibles Acquired From Anatomy Department, Faculty Of Medicine, Cairo University. The Skulls Attached To Their Mandiles Were Radiographed Using Planmeca ProMax 3D Mid CBCT Machine. For Kilovoltage (kVp), Each Skull Was Scanned. Real Measurements Were Performed Using A Gonimeter. The Results Yielded Was Subjected To Intra- And Inter-observer Agreement Was Assessed Using Intra-Class Correlation Coefficient (ICC). Bland-Altman Plot Used To Show The Agreement Between Two Quantitative Measurements By Studying The Mean Difference And Constructing Limits Of Agreement .

Results: There Was Strong Correlation Between Measurements Obtained With CBCT Measurements And Real Measurements. There Was Strong Inter And Inter Observer Reliability. Conclusion: Maxillary And Mandibular Angular Measurements Driven From CBCT Images Of Planmeca Promax 3D Mid? Machine Are Accurate, Reproducible And Reliable For All Maxillofacial Applications.
