ABSTRACT
The Aim Of The Study Was To Evaluate Caries Prevalence, Oral Hygiene Measures, Dietary Habits And Dental Care Among (6-12 Years Old) A Group Of Iraqi Children In Erbil Governorate Compared With A Similar Group Of Egyptian Children At Same Age In Cairo Governorate.
Subjects And Methods : This Study Was Planned To Assess Prevalence Of Dental Caries Among A Group Of 6-12 Years Old Iraqi Children In Northern Of Iraq Represented By Erbil Governorate Compared With A Similar Group Of Egyptian Children At Same Age In Cairo Governorate. Four Public Primary Schools Were Selected From Erbil City And Outpatient Clinics Of Pediatric Dentistry And Dental Public Health Department, Cairo University From Cairo City Were Included. This Observational Study Was Carried Out On 1340 Children, Divided According To Geographic Location Into 2 Groups; 670 Children Were Iraq Study Group Children, While 670 Students Were Egypt Study Group Children.
Results: Data Were Collected Through A Questionnaire-based Survey. Structured Close Ended Questionnaire Used To Assess Their Ages, Gender, Eating Habits, Oral Hygiene Measures, And Frequency Of Dental Care. All Children Participated In This Study Were Examined For: Dental Caries Experiences In Primary And Permanents Teeth Using Def And DMF Indices.
