ABSTRACT
Adequate Hard Tissue Around A Dental Implant Is Crucial For The Long-term Success Of The Implant Placement. However, Unfavorable Conditions, Due To Oral Infections, Bone Atrophy After Dental Extractions, And Long Term Edentulism, May Result In Insufficientavailable Bone, Making Implant Placement Impossible. Horizontal Bone Loss Is Higher In The Buccal Area Of The Alveolar Ridge. A Variety Of Surgical Techniques, Such As Onlay Grafts, Ridge Splitting, Distraction Osteogenesis, And Guided Bone Regeneration (GBR), Have Been Recommended For The Rehabilitation Of Resorbed Alveolar Ridges To Ensure That Implants Are Placed Under Optimum Conditions
