ABSTRACT

Objectives: The Present Study Was Designed To Assess The Accuracy Of Surgical Guide Designed From Dental Model Optical Scan Versus Impression Inversion With Markers Techniques In Computer Guide Implantology

Materials and Methods: In Our Study, Twelve Patients (one Males And Eleven Females) With Age Range From 22 To 46 Years Were Selected From Outpatient Clinic, Faculty Of Dentistry, Cairo University. Patients Were Selected According To Inclusion And Exclusion Criteria To Assess Their Eligibility For The Study. Twelve Guides (with Sixteen Implants) Were Designed For The Patients

Results: For Surgical Guides Manufactured Using Dental Model Optical Scan And Impression Inversion With Markers, There Was An Excellent Agreement Between Both Observers Regarding All Measurements As Intra-class Correlation Was Higher Than 0.75 Except For Buccolingual Deviation Cervically Which Was Good. This Emphasizes On The Accuracy And Reproducibility Of The Measurements? Steps In Our Study. For Linear Accuracy In BL Direction, There Was No Statistically Significant Difference Between Median Linear Deviation With Surgical Guides Fabricated By Both Techniques. For Angular Accuracy In BL Direction, There Was No Statistically Significant Difference Between Median Linear Deviation With Surgical Guides Fabricated By Both Techniques. Conclusion: There Was No Significantly Clinical Difference Was Found In Linear And Angular Accuracy Between Surgical Guides Fabricated From Dental Model Optical Scan And Surgical Guides Fabricated From Impression Inversion Surgical Guides Fabricated From Impression Inversion Showed Higher Range Of Deviation Than Surgical Guides Fabricated From Dental Model Optical Scan.
