ABSTRACT
Objective: This Study Was Conducted To Evaluate The Clinical Performance Of Self-etch Adhesive With Chlorhexidine Versus That Of The Conventional Adhesive Without Chlorhexidine In Class II Cavities In High Caries Risk Patients.

Materials and Methods: 37 Patients Of High Caries Risk Were Randomly Selected Each Patient Received At Least Two Class II Restorations Randomly,one With A Conventional Adhesive System (Futurabond M+ (VOCO, Cuxhaven, Germany)) , And The Other With The Intervention Adhesive System With 0.2 % Chlorhexidine (Peak? Universal Bond (Ultradent Products Inc., South Jordan, Utah, USA)

Results: The Assessment In This Study Was Done By Two Methods Clinical And Radiographic Assessment. There Was No Statistical Significant Difference Between Control And Chlorhexidine Groups In Immediate, 6 Months And 12 Months Follow-up. Conclusion: Self-etch Adhesive Systems With Or Without Chlorhexidine Seem To Bond Effectively With Very Good Results Through The Follow Up Period.
