ABSTRACT
Objective: Evaluation Of The Success Of Immediate Implantation With Closed Sinus Lift In Chronically Infected Maxillary Molar / Premolar Sockets.
Patients And Methods: Ten Patients Participated In This Study (5 Males And 5 Females With A Mean Age Of 36 Years) Free Of Any Systemic Diseases That Would Affect Bone Formation, Free Of Chronic Maxillarysinusitis And Were Non-smokers. Each Patient Had At Least One Chronically Infected Maxillary Premolar / Molar Tooth Or Remaining Root With At Least 6mm Bone Height From The Maxillary Sinus Floor.
Results: The Results Showed A Mean Bone Gain Of 3.88 Mm Mesio-distally And 3.9 Mm Bucco-palatally. The Density Of The Newly Formed Bone Was 50% Of The Density Of The Adjacent Alveolar Bone Before Loading Of The Implant. The Overall Success Rate Was 90%.
Conclusion: From This Study We Can Conclude That Immediate Implantation With Closed Sinus Lift In A Chronically Infected Posterior Maxillary Tooth Can Be Considered A Reliable And A Predictable Technique.
