ABSTRACT
Objective: The Aim Of This Study Was To Evaluate And Compare The Efficacy Of PRF Combined With Biodentine And Biodentine Alone In The Treatment Of Class II Furcation Defects. Methods:fourteen Patients With 28 Grade II Furcation Defect Were Treated With Either Open Flap Debridement And Biodentine Occlude Furcation Entrance (Group 1), Open Flap Debridement With PRF And Biodentine Occlude Furcation Entrance (Group 2) Plaque Index, Gingival Index, Probing Pocket Depth (PD), Clinical Attachment Level And Furcation Probing Were Recorded At Baseline And 3,6 Months Postoperatively. .

Results: The Results Of This Study Showed Significant Pocket Depth Reduction In Both Groups Throughout The Different Periods Of The Study. Statistical Analysis Showed Significant Decrease In Mean CAL From Baseline To 6 Months In Both Groups. Statistical Analysis Showed Significant Decrease In Mean HPD After 3 Months And After 6 Months In Both Groups. Regarding The Radiographic Parameters, Bone Density Increased From Baseline To 6 Months In Both Groups.

Conclusions:Furcation Defect Treatment With Autologous PRF Combined With Biodentine And Biodentine Alone Results In Significant Reduction In Pocket Depth, Gain In Clinical Attachment, Gain In Vertical And Horizontal Clinical Attachment Level And Increase In Bone Density. Although PRF Combined With Biodentine Group Show More Improvement Regarding Both Clinical And Radiographic Parameters, There Was No Significant Difference
