ABSTRACT
Objective: Comparing Pulpotomy (partial/complete) For Cariously-exposed Vital Young Permanent Molars Using TheraCal/MTA-Angelus Regarding Post-operative Pain. Methods: This Was Randomized Clinical Trial, Double-blinded. We Treated 22 Permanent Molars, 7.7 Years Was Mean Age Of Participants. We Used Rubber Dam Isolation, Perform Pulpotomy, Direct Application Of Capping Material, Then Glass Ionomer Base And Composite Resin Final Restoration. We Took Immediate Standardized Postoperative Periapical Radiographs. We Evaluated Post-operative Pain Using Telephone Call The Same Day And Clinical Assessment 24 Hours Later.

Results: We Used Absolute Risk Reduction. The Risk Of Post-operative Pain At The Same Day Was 7-times More In TheraCal Group Compared To MTA Group. Pain Relief Was Observed 24 Hours After The Procedure. Conclusion: MTA Cause Less Post-operative Pain Than TheraCal When Used For Pulpotomy In Young Permanent Molars.
