ABSTRACT
Objective: The Purpose Of The Present Study Is To Evaluate The Effect Of Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) As A Grafting Material On The Quality And Quantity Of The Formed Bone At Maxillary Sinus Floor After Schneiderian Membrane Elevation And Maintaining Space With Titanium Mesh Versus Sinus Lifting Without Any Grafting Material.

Materials and Methods: The Patients Were Clinically And Radiographically Evaluated, The Clinical Evaluation Included Assessment Of Complications During Surgery And Postoperative Healing. Radiographic Evaluation Involved CBCT Radiographs Taken For Every Patient Immediate And 6 Months Postoperatively To Evaluate The Changes In Bone. While Histopathological Evaluation Involved Transcortical Bone Biopsies Taken After 6 Months During The Second Stage Surgery For Implant Placement.

Results: From The Data That Extracted From The Current Study We See Clear Radiological And Histological Evidences To Bone Formation In The Sinus After Using Lateral Window Technique For The Lift While Using Blood Clot Alone In One Group And PRF In The Other Group For The Bone Formation. Also There Was No Significant Difference In Linear, Volumetric Of Newly Formed Bone In Both Groups. Conclusion: Titanium Mesh Serve As A Space Maintaining Devices In Both Grafting And Non-grafting Sinus Lifting Techniques Regarding Tenting And Bone Formation, During Graftless Maxillary Sinus Lifting Blood Clot Serves As Autogenous Graft Filler Material For Bone Regeneration.
