ABSTRACT
Aim: The Purpose Of This Study Is To Compare The Apical Extrusion Of Debris Between Reciprocating Single File System WaveOne Gold And Rotational Multi File System Protaper Gold
Materials and Methods: Forty Eight Lower Central Incisors With Single Straight Canal Were Selected To Assess The Apical Extrusion Of Debris After Instrumentation Using Manual File, WaveOne Gold And Protaper Gold. Samples Were Divided Into Three Groups (n=16) According To The Instrument Used For Preparation. The Extruded Debris Was Collected In Preweighted Eppendorf Tube. Data Were Statistically Analyzed Using One-way ANOVA And Tukey?s Post-hoc Test.
Results: The Least Amount Of Debris Were Obtained With WaveOne Gold Instrument. However There Was No Statistically Significant Difference Between WaveOne Gold And Protaper Gold In Apical Extrusion Of Debris. Manual Files Extruded Significantly The Greatest Amount Of Debris.
Conclusion: Regardless The Limitations Of This Study, Results Indicate Slight Advantages For WaveOne Gold Reciprocating Single File System Over Protaper Gold Rotational Multi File System In The Amount Of Apically Extruded Debris.
