ABSTRACT

Objectives: To Radiographically Assess The Crestal Bone Level Change Around Implant Located Posteriorly After Immediate Loading Versus Delayed One. Methods: The Study Was Conducted On 20 Patients (10 Males And 10 Females), With The Mean Age Of 26.5 Years (range, 22 Y To 48 Y), Selected From The Dental Outpatient Clinic Of The Military Hospital Of Kobri Elkoba Seeking Replacement Of Missed Lower First Molar. The 20 Patients Were Divided Into Two Equal Groups 10 Patients Each; Study Group And Control Group. Results There Was No Statistically Significant Difference Between The Two Groups (P-value = 0.444). As Regards The Overall Amount Of Bone Loss (mean Of The Two Surfaces); The Recorded Mean And Standard Deviation Values Of Amounts Of Bone Loss Were 0.50 ? 0.09 Mm And 0.53 ? 0.07 Mm For Immediate And Delayed Loading Groups, Respectively. There Was No Statistically Significant Difference Between The Two Groups (P-value = 0.545). Conclusions Immediate Loading For Posterior Mandibular Teeth Is A Viable Technique And Gives A Predictable Results
