EVALUATION OF THE EFFICACY OF THE INTRALIGAMENTARY INJECTION USING ? COMPUTER CONTROLLED ANESTHESIA? VERSUS NON COMPUTERIZED SYRINGE IN EXTRACTION OF MANDIBULAR POSTERIOR TEETH

ABSTRACT
Objective: The Aim Of This Study Was The Clinical Evaluation Of Intraligamentary Injection Technique Using Computer Controlled Anesthesia ?single Tooth Anesthesia System ?STA? Versus ?Cito-ject ?? Syringe In Extraction Of Posterior Mandibular Teeth. Patients And Methods: One-hundred Patients - 16: 50 Years Old - Were Selected Randomly To Be Included In The Present Study With Different Genders And Extraction Purpose. All Patients Had No Systemic Conditions That May Affect Bleeding And Healing Of Extraction Wounds Or Action Of Anaesthesia And Had At Least Two Mandibular Posterior Teeth In Need To Be Extracted In One Or Both Sides. Each Patient (or His Parent) Signed Consent For Accepting To Be Involved In The Present Study.

Results: The Results Of The Present Study Showed No Significant Difference In Gender, Age And Tooth Type. Moreover The Results Showed That There Was No Significant Difference In Blood Pressure, Heart Rate, Bleeding, Healing And Also In Pain During Injection And Extraction. Moreover, STA System Had Faster Onset Of Anesthesia, Pain After Extraction And Handling..
