ABSTRACT

Aim: The Aim Was To Compare The Value And Efficiencyof Sticky Bone In The Augmentation Of Horizontal Alveolar Ridge Deficienc When Used With Or Without Xenogeneic Bone Graft For Esthetic Implant Placement.

Materials and Methods: Twelve Sites That Require Bone Grafting For Implants Placement For Class IV Ridge Classification(2-4 Mm Residual Alveolar Width) Were Included In The Study. 4 Patients Received Horizontal Augmentation Using Sticky Bone Prepared From 1:1 Mixture Of Autogenous And Xenograft Bone Covered By PRF Membrane. The Other 4 Patients Received Horizontal Augmentation Using Sticky Bone Preparation Of Autogenous Particulate Bone Covered By PRF Membrane. A Modificationof Miniscrews For Stabilization Of The Bone Graft Was Introduced During The Research. CBCT Were Taken Preoperative, Immediate Postoperative And 6 Months To Measure The Horizontal Bone Changes.

Results: There Was No Statistically Significantdifference In Width Mean Changes Between Treatment Groups Immediately Post-operative And After 5 Months. Conclusion: Within Limitations Of The Study, Horizontal Ridge Augmentation Using Sticky Bone Covered By The PRF Membrane Yields Better Results When Particulate Bones Are Used With Fixationscrews. There Is No Statistically Significantdifference In Width Mean Values Between Treatment Groups Before And Immediately After Surgery. While After 5 Months, The Control Group Yielded Higher Width Mean Value Compared To The Intervention Group. Sticky Bone Gain Is Unpredictable With PRF Alone And In Long-span Defects.
