ABSTRACT
Aim: The Aim Of The Study Was To Evaluate The Wear Of Reinforced Acrylic Denture Teeth And Nano-filled Composite Denture Teeth.
Materials and Methods: A Split Mouth Randomized Clinical Trial Where 48 Teeth Of Each Group Were Inserted In Complete Dentures For 6 Patients. The Control Group Was Reinforced Acrylic Denture Teeth And The Intervention Group Was Nano-filledcomposite Denture Teeth. Surface Wear Was Measured Using An Optical Scanner. Surface Topographies For Each Tooth Were Analyzed Using WSxM Software At Baseline, 0, 3 And 9 Months Follow Up.
Results: For The Effect Of Time, The Highest Mean Value Was Found In Baseline Group Followed By 9 Months And 3 Months Groups, While The Least Mean Value Was Found In 6 Months Group. For The Effect Of Groups: The Highest Mean Value Was Found In The Nano-filledcomposite Denture Teeth, While The Least Mean Value Was Found In Reinforced Acrylic Denture Teeth. Conclusion: Nano-filleddenture Teeth Have Better Wear Resistance Than The Reinforced Acrylic Denture Teeth. Nano- Filled Denture Teeth Are Expected To Show Long Term Functional Efficien.
