ABSTRACT
This Study Aims To Evaluate The Correlation Of Head And Neck Postural Changes In Sagittal Profilein Skeletal Class III Patients After Orthognathic Surgery By Using 2D Measurements. 10 Adults With Class III Malocclusions Were Examined, And Three Angular Parameters Were Determined Using Cephalometric X-Ray In Natural Head Position Taken Before And After 6 Months Of The Operation, With The Mandibles Occluding At The Centric Relation For Evaluating The Head And Neck Postural Changes After Orthognathic Surgery, The Patients 2D Database Were Imported To Measure The Cranio-cervical Angles, Cervico Horizontal Angles And Cranio Vertical Angle. The Results Showed That There Is No Statistically Signifiant Changes In Cranio-cervical Angles, The Analysis Showed That The Correlation Coefficient Were Similar In The Two Head Positions Investigated And No Distinction Is Made Therefore Between The Findig In The Two Head Position. The Findins, Particularly With Regard To The Use Of 2D As A Diagnostic Aid For Subjects Affected By Dentofacial Deformity, Do Not Support Existence Of Clinically And Statistically Relevant Correlations Between Skeletal Class III Traits And Head And Neck Posture.
