ABSTRACT

Aim: This Study Aims To Evaluate The Bone Gain Following Ridge Augmentation In Atrophic Anterior Maxillary Ridges With Titanium Reinforced Polytetraflouroethelee Membrane And Anorganic Bovine Bone Derived Mineral With And Without Particulated Autogenous Bone Chips.Methodology: Twenty Patients Suffering From Atrophic Anterior Maxillary Ridges Less Than 5mm Using Mix Of Anorganic Bovine Bone Derived Mineral With Particulated Autogenous Bone Chips (ratio 1:1) To An Anorganic Bovine Bone Derived Mineral Alone Both Covered With Titanium Reinforced Polytetraflouroethelene Membrane

Results: The B Group (mix Of Anorganic Bovine Bone Derived Mineral With Particulated Autogenous Bone Chips) Has A Superior Result Radiograficallyand Histologically Over The A Group (anorganic Bone Derived Mineral Alone) With Significant Diference Histologically. Conclusion: PTFE Membranes Have A Serious Problem Related To Bicompitability Of Soft Tissue. Group B Shows Superior Result Radiographically And Histologically To Group A.
