ABSTRACT
This Study Aimed To : Compare The Retention Of PEEK And BRE.FLEX (second Edition) Materials In Maxillary Class III Modification 1 Removable Partial Dentures Using Digital Gauge Force Device.
Materials and Methods: Thirty Four Patients Having Kennedy Class III Modification 1 Maxillary Partially Edentulous Ridges With Fully Dentate Mandibular Arch Were Divided Into Two Equal Groups To Fabricate The Thermoplastic Materials. The First Group Received PEEK Material. The Second Group Received Bre.Flex Material. The Retention Was Measured Using Digital Force Gauge Which Is An Advanced Type Of Force Meter Device : At The Time Of Denture Insertion, After Two Weeks And After Four Weeks Of Denture Insertion. The Collected Data Were Tabulated And Statistically Analyzed.
Results: Showed That The Difference Between The Two Groups Was Statistically Significant Was Reported Between Two Groups Regarding Retention.
Conclusion : The Mean Retentive Force Required To Remove The Bre-flex Removable Partial Denture Was Found To Be Statistically Significant Lower Than This Required To Remove PEEK Removable Partial Denture .
