PATIENT?S SATISFACTION WHILE TRANSFERRING ORTHODONTIC ATTACHMENTS BY TWO INDIRECT BONDING TECHNIQUES

ABSTRACT
Aim Of The Study: To Compare The Two Used Methods Of Indirect Bonding Regarding (Vinyl Polysiloxane VPS Tray And A Soft Vacuum-formed Tray) The Patient?s Satisfaction During The Bonding Procedure.

Materials and Methods: A Randomized Controlled Trial Was Performed, 21 Subject With Fully Erupted Upper And Lower First And Second Permanent Molars Showing No Signs Of Enamel Defects Or Signs Of Gingival Inflammation Were Recruited In This Study. 168 Attachments Were Bonded To First And Second Molar Teeth. A Questionnaire Was Given To Each Subject To Measure Their Satisfaction Towards The Used Indirect Bonding Trays. After Placement Of Molar Tubes On The Working Model, A Vinyl Polysiloxane VPS Tray And A Soft Vacuum-formed Tray Were Fabricated, One On Each Half Of The Working Model, Then The Tubes Were Transferred To The Patient?s Dentition. Conclusion: The Vinyl Polysiloxane (VPS) And The Vacuum-formed Trays Used To Indirectly Bond Orthodontic Attachments Were Found To Be Equally Satisfying To The Patient.
