ABSTRACT
Aim: The Aim Of The Study Was To Evaluate Success Rate Of Pulpotomy In Both Primary First And Second Molar After Using Antioxidant Versus Formocresol (FC)
Study Design: The Sample Size Includes 26 Primary First And 26 Primary Second Molars Divided Randomly Into Two Groups (26 In Each Group). Teeth Were Treated By Conventional Pulpotomy Technique Then After Stasis Of Bleeding, Either Antioxidant Was Placed Over The Orifice Or FC Was Placed 3-5 Minutes Then Removed, Then A Layer Of Reinforced ZOE Was Placed And The Tooth Was Covered With Stainless Steel Crown. Clinical And Radiographic Outcomes Were Assessed After 3 And 6 Months.
Results: At 6 Months The Incidence Of Clinical And Radiographic Success In Primary First And Second Molars In Both Antioxidant And FC Revealed A Non-significant Difference.
Conclusion : The Clinical And Radiographic Success In Pulpotomy Is Not Affected By The Type Of Treated Tooth .
