ABSTRACT
Aim: The Aim Of The Current Study Was To Compare The Efficiency Of Three Single File NiTi Instruments: ProTaper F2, WaveOne Primary And One Shape In Terms Of Canal Preparation Time In Simulated Curved Canals.
Methods: Sixty Endo-training Blocks (Endo Training-Bloc, Dentsply Maillefer, Ballaigues, Switzerland) With Embedded Simulated Curved Canals Were Used In This Study. The Blocks Were Divided Into Three Equal Groups According To The File Used: ProTaper F2 In Reciprocation, WaveOne Primary In Reciprocation And One Shape New Generation 25/0.06 In Continuous Rotation. The Simulated Canals Were Prepared Till Reaching The Full Working Length And Canal Preparation Time Was Calculated.
Results: One Shape Files Showed The Shortest Time For Canal Preparation (28.60 3.29 Seconds) Followed By WaveOne Primary (62.24 5.31 Seconds) And Finally ProTaper F2 Files (97.33 11.62 Seconds). There Was A Statistically Significant Difference Between The Three Groups (p < 0.05).
Conclusion: Within The Limitations Of The Current Study, One Shape Files Used In Continuous Rotation Provided A Faster Canal Preparation In Comparison To ProTaper F2 And WaveOne Primary Files Used In Reciprocation.
