ABSTRACT
The Aim Of This Study Was To Evaluate The Effect Of Fiber Post-head Surface Treatment On Its Retention To Two Composite Core Materials Cured With Two Curing Modes (light And Dual Polymerization).

Materials and Methods: A Total Number Of 30 Fiber Posts Were Used In This Study. Their Parallel Coronal Part Was The Part Mainly Used As We Test The Push Out Bond Strength Between Post Surface And Core Material. Posts Were Divided Into 3 Groups According To The Surface Treatment Each Containing 10 Posts: Group1: No Treatment (control), Group2: Air Abrasion (sandblasting) And Group3: Tribochemical Silica Coating (cojet). Silane Was Applied On All Posts Surface Following Surface Treatment As Indicated By The Post Manufacturer. The Groups Were Further Subdivided According To The Curing Mode Of The Composite Used To Build Up The Core Either Dual-cured Subgroup Or Light-cured Subgroup. Each Subgroup Contained 5 Posts.

Results: The Results Show That Curing Mode And Crown Region Have A Statistically Significant Effect On Mean Push-out Bond Strength. Surface Treatment Protocols As Well As The Interaction Between The Three Variables Have No Statistically Significant Effect On Mean Push-out Bond Strength. Since The Interaction Between The Variables Is Non-significant, So The Variables Are Independent From Each Other.
