ABSTRACT
This Study Aimed To: Evaluate And Compare The Patient Satisfaction And Dimensional Stability Using Digital Caliper In Class III Modification I Maxillary Partially Edentulous Patients Wearing Removable Partial Dentures Constructed From Two Injectable Thermoplastic Materials Polyetheretherketone (PEEK) And Bre.flex (second Edition).
Materials and Methods: Twenty Four Patients Having Kennedy Class III Modification I Maxillary Partially Edentulous Ridges With Fully Dentate Mandibular Arch Were Divided Into Two Equal Groups To Fabricate The Thermoplastic Materials. The First Group Received PEEK Material. The Second Group Received Bre.flex Material. Patient Questionnaires Were Recorded After One Week And After Four Weeks Of The Denture Insertion. The Dimensional Differences From Two Groups Were Measured At Specific Reference Points By Using Digital Caliper: At The Time Of Denture Insertion, After Two Weeks And After Four Weeks Of Denture Insertion. The Collected Data Were Tabulated And Statistically Analyzed.
Results: Showed That The Difference Between The Two Groups Was Statistically Insignificant Regarding Patient Satisfaction. A Statistically Insignificant Difference Was Reported Between Two Groups Regarding Dimensional Accuracy.
Conclusion: There Is A Correlation Between The Patient Satisfaction And Dimensional Difference Of The RPD. The Dimensional Stability Is Associated With An Increase In The Patient Satisfaction.
